THE INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL
ANONIMUL

The International Independent Film Festival “ANONIMUL” is one of the most significant cultural events in Romania.
The choice of location played an essential role, and the fact that the event takes place in Sfântu Gheorghe, in the Danube Delta, in an isolated location away from the everyday environment is, among other things, what sets ANONIMUL apart from other film festivals.
The main attraction of the ANONIMUL Festival is the open-air cinema at Dolphin Camping, with image and sound standards similar to a traditional movie theater, despite being located right where the audience stays (in tents). They spend their day engaging in personal activities (meeting friends at the food & beverage area) so that all night they can stay connected with thousands of other people in front of a movie screen, watching films and engaging directly through Q&A sessions with the filmmakers and professionals involved in their creation (directors, actors, producers, etc).
The ANONIMUL program includes two short film competitions, one for Romanian films and one for international films, as well as screenings of feature-length films, followed by meetings and dialogues between filmmakers and the audience.
